On the Road Again

After one last run down the High-A section of the Wenatchee it was time to pack up and head out of Leavenworth. As much as I love spending time out there, and hanging out with other river runners every day, nearly a month in the same place had me hungry for the road.

The first stop for the weekend was The Viking in Spokane. Unfortunately, with the exception of some great friends who came out to the show, this trip was kind of a dead night. Seeing friends that I hadn't spent time with in years definitely helped to make up for the low turnout, but I'm going to have to make some adjustments to my Spokane approach in the future.

Saturday saw me at a new venue in Moses Lake. The Moses Lake taproom is a great space, owned by a family with ties to my hometown of Olympia. First times at a new place can be tough, but there was a small, but very appreciative crowd there. I'm looking forward to building on that when I'm back there August 12th!

After a month away from home I returned to Olympia on Sunday, playing to a great crowd at the Olympia Oyster House! The early start on a Sunday evening worked out great, and I can't wait to play there again in two weeks!
